Strenthen Your Marriage.

Marriage is the heart of God’s loving plan for the human family.  Pope Francis said,  “When a man and woman celebrate the Sacrament of Marriage, God, so to speak, is mirrored in them, He marks them with His features and the indelible character of his love.”

We have a number of tools to help you strenthen your family by strenthening your marriage including:

  • 7 Day Virtual Marriage Retreat
  • Grade Your Marriage Quiz
  • Marriage Strengthening Resources

Develop a Family Prayer Plan

Studies have shown that the simple routine of praying together at home makes it much more likely you will ...

  • Build a life-long, thriving marriage
  • Strengthen your relationship with your children and teens
  • Nurture strong faith in the hearts of your children and teens
  • Reduce the level of tension in your home
  • Increase marital trust, respect and intimacy

Life makes many demands on today’s families, and lives are often full and hectic. Finding the time for prayer can seem difficult - especially if you aren’t sure where to begin or how to pray as a family.

Take the time to create a plan for your own personal prayer life and for the prayer life of your family. The plan should be written down and agreed upon and discussed by everyone in the family. It doesn’t have to be rigidly followed, but can serve as a grounding reminder -- a thriving, regular, consistent time of worship of and communion with God in prayer.

Find a Disciple.

Pope Francis recently reminded us of the truth in the African Proverb, "It takes a village to raise a child."  Parenting and raising a faith-filled family can be hard. The good news is that you do not have to do it alone!  Even Mary, after her encounter with the angel, traveled to be with another family who could support and pray with and for her as she and Joseph began their lives together (Luke 1:39-40).

We'll pair you with a 1 to 1 Family Disciple who can walk with you and encourage you as you seek to raise your family in the faith.  Your Burning Hearts Family Disciple desires to build a Christ-centered relationship with your family while sharing the Catholic Faith.
