Discernment is a decision-making process that seeks to align our own will with the will of God in order to learn what God is calling us to. Every choice we make, no matter how small, is an opportunity to align ourselves with God's will. This reflection guide is designed otherwise help you identify where the Holy Spirit may be calling you to align to the mission of evangelization and discipleship in your life and/or your ministry. 

How to Use this Reflection

We recommend doing this exercise first focusing on your personal activity, energy, and time as a priest, pastoral leader, deacon, or lay minister. It can also be adapted to use with a parish team to discern how to implement this vision in your parish.

Some sample areas of personal focus:  Discipleship efforts at home or with friends, implementing radical hospitality in your life/ministry, developing a personal faith growth plan, charism discernment

Some sample areas of parish renewal focus:  Building a leadership team, developing an intercessory prayer network, charism discernment, improving accountability & openness
