What Is Charism Discernment Coaching?
Charisms are supernatural gifts given by the Holy Spirit to every baptized person — not for personal benefit, but for building up the Church. The Catechism is clear: there is a real responsibility on parishes to help their people discover and act on these gifts (CCC 799–801).
Charism discernment coaching brings that teaching off the page and into the life of your parish. Working with Many Parts Ministries' proven framework and assessment tools, we walk with your leaders and parishioners through a process of identifying, naming, and beginning to live their charisms — in the context of your community's specific mission.
This is not a personality assessment. Charisms aren't strengths or preferences — they're graces. The discernment process reflects that, and so does the coaching. We're not helping people find a better fit. We're helping them recognize how the Holy Spirit is already moving through them.

Every parish engagement is customized. We begin by listening to where your community is and what you're trying to build. From there, we work together to choose the approach that fits your culture, your capacity, and your goals.

Discovery conversation
A free initial call to understand your parish, your leadership team, and what you're trying to accomplish. No cost, no obligation.
Phase 2
Assessment & baseline
Parishioners or ministry leaders take the charism assessment. We establish a picture of the gifts already present in your community.
Phase 3
Guided discernment
Coaching sessions — individual, small group, or team-based — help people move from assessment results to lived discernment and commitment.
Phase 4
Integration & follow-up
We help you connect what's been discovered to the actual ministries, roles, and mission initiatives in your parish — and stay with you as it takes root.

This work is led by Kristin Bird, Charism Coaching Certified through Many Parts Ministries, and offered as part of Burning Hearts Disciples' Leadership Formation & Coaching services. It is built on the same relational and mission-centered approach that has guided our work with parishes, dioceses, and schools across the country.
