Real Support for Real Parish Life

You don't have to do it alone.

Guiding a parish toward mission can feel like you’re carrying it all — vision, planning, pastoral care, conflict resolution — on your own shoulders. Burnout is real. Disunity is real. And the Holy Spirit’s call to mission can get buried under the weight of “just keeping things running."

You don’t need a perfect plan to start — just a desire to lead your people toward deeper relationship with Jesus.
We’ll walk with you in whatever comes next.

What Is Parish Accompaniment?

Parish accompaniment is custom coaching and ongoing support rooted in relational trust and mission clarity.

This isn’t a program or a packaged process — it’s a relationship.

We’ve accompanied:

  • Parish councils trying to discern their next evangelization goal
  • Evangelization teams unsure how to turn inspiration into action
  • Pastors who just need a sounding board outside the chancery
  • Ministry staff trying to regroup after a retreat, mission, or tough year

There’s no single formula.  Every accompainment relationship begins with listening, prayer, and the question:

What is the Holy Spirit stirring in your parish?

The Burning Hearts Differnece

For over 10 years, we've equipped Catholic leaders across the U.S. to move from maintenance to mission, serving parishes, dioceses, and schools in partnership with thh Holy Spirit.

Our work is rooted in:

  • Mission Clarity:  everything tied to your parish's unique call and gifts
  • Relational Trust:  a safe, confidentical space to wrestle with challenges
  • Practical Tools:  actionable next steps, not just ideas and theories
  • Accountability and Prayer: so momentum doesn't fade

What It Can Look Like

What does accompaniment look like at the parish level? Sometimes, it looks like strategic planning. Sometimes, it's coaching a DRE through burnout, helping a pastor clarify vision, or facilitating hard conversations among ministry leaders. Most often, it looks like walking with you through whatever comes next.

Depending on your needs, accompaniment might include:

  • Monthly or quarterly Zoom calls with staff or volunteers
  • Ongoing coaching after a mission, retreat, or planning process
  • Support in assessing evangelization culture or team structure
  • Custom recommendations for next steps, resources, and communication
  • Prayer and accountability to help you stay focused on mission

What Pastors and Parish Leaders Are Saying

  • "Material I will go back to again and again"

This was the first formation event that I have attended, and I fully plan on attending the rest of the series. This was material that I will go back to again and again.  Kristin was an excellent speaker - I appreciated her directness, and also her including group discussion and prayer times.  I am looking forward the next session!

  • "The most informative, formational, and nourishing event hosted by the Archdiocese."

I felt the topic was very timely as we search for new understandings and the HOW of applying evangelization skills to our ministry.  It was the most informative, formational, and nourishing event I have been to hosted by the Arch[diocese] so far.  I plan to implement this immediately by focusing more on providing encounters with Jesus, not just providing programs, and spending more time and effort accompanying individuals in my parish, especially my youth.

  • Your accompaniment has been invaluable

We were blessed to have Burning Hearts Disciples walk with us as we journey towards intentional discipleship on a personal & parish level. Your accompaniment has been invaluable to us as we journey towards intentional discipleship.  Thank you for your inspired support and spirit-filled accompaniment.

  • "I can better serve my parish now."

This retreat helped me see parish life through a different filter. Those of us who work in ministry think we have dynamic parishes, but so much of what we do is ineffective, dead or dying. I received so much more on how to better serve my parish than I could have ever imagined.

  • "The wealth of information will benefit my ministry."

I was worried that this was going to be similar to the many “classes” we had already been through - many of which felt like passive reception of content. That was definitely not the case. The wealth of info you gave us - especially the exposure to so many different resources - will be beneficial to me in my ministry. You encouraged me to open up myself and be a little vulnerable - something you modeled so well.

  • "Practical and hands-on training"
I loved all the hands on ideas that I can use right away. Rather than just focusing on why this is important, we learned actual examples of things we can do.  I'm going to use some of these right away and it's really going to add to my classes!
