Women's Morning of Reflection October 24, 2026
You Are God's Beloved
We may know that God loves us and still struggle to receive that love in the places where we feel tired, burdened, or not enough. What would it mean to let that truth reach beyond what we know in our heads and into what we carry in our hearts?
Kristin Bird joined the women of St. Anthony on the Lake for a morning of prayer, reflection, and conversation centered on the Good News of Jesus Christ. Together, we explored God's love, our need for healing, Jesus' invitation to surrender, and the new life the Holy Spirit brings.
These resources offer ways to continue what began that morning. Choose one that connects with what stayed with you, and give yourself time to pray with it.
Additional Resources

From the morning's reflection questions
Why God Loves You
Fr. Mike Schmitz • Ascension Presents
A reflection on bringing our weakness and brokenness to God rather than waiting until we feel worthy of his love. Return to this video if the morning stirred a question about whether God could delight in you as you are.
Be Healed
Dr. Bob Schuchts
For those who want to explore the morning's invitation to healing more deeply, this book considers how encounters with God's love can transform the way we understand ourselves and our wounds.
Continue the Prayer of Surrender
During the morning, we named burdens we were carrying and offered them to Jesus at the cross. You can return to that prayer simply: Jesus, I give this to you.
You might also return to the Litany of Truth for Women on pages 5–6 of the booklet. Notice a line that is hard to believe about yourself. Instead of forcing yourself to feel differently, bring that difficulty to Jesus and ask him to meet you there.
If your prayer brought a sin or pattern of sin to mind, consider receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation as your next step.
Prayer of Surrender
Burning Hearts Disciples
A prayer resource to accompany your continued response to Jesus' invitation to trust him. Set aside a quiet moment to name what you are carrying and offer it to him.
Recognizing New Life in the Holy Spirit
The morning ended with an invitation to notice what God is doing and to help one another recognize signs of his presence. These resources support that continued attentiveness.
Where has Jesus already brought healing, wholeness, or restoration to a place of brokenness?
From the morning's reflection questions
The Wild Goose
Fr. Dave Pivonka, TOR
Continue exploring the fifth movement of the Gospel through this series about the Holy Spirit and his action in our lives. Watch an episode prayerfully, leaving time to notice what connects with your own experience.
Unpacking Your Story Reflection
Burning Hearts Disciples
Continue reflecting on the question: What difference has Jesus made in my life? Use this resource as a starting point for recognizing your own story of faith and preparing to talk about it with someone you trust.
Continue the Conversation
Sometimes another person helps us recognize what we cannot yet see ourselves. Talk with someone you trust about what stayed with you from the morning. Listen to her experience, too. You do not need a finished story or a resolved struggle to begin.
- What invitation from Jesus has stayed with you?
- Where have you noticed healing or new life, perhaps in a way you did not expect?
- Who could walk with you as you respond?
