Pre-Ordination Diaconate Retreat • Lake Charles, LA October 12–16, 2026

Discipleship begins with an encounter with Jesus Christ and continues as we learn to recognize and respond to His presence in our daily lives.

This five-day retreat will invite participants to rediscover the heart of the Gospel, reflect on their own faith stories, and deepen their understanding of what it means to live as missionary disciples.

Through presentations, personal prayer, Eucharistic Adoration, and group sharing, participants will explore how to proclaim the kerygma, listen with the heart of a disciple, accompany others in faith, and live their vocation more intentionally.

The retreat will conclude with time for discernment and reflection on the next steps God may be inviting each participant to take in their vocation and parish community.
